The Barboure unit, designed by Kevin Frankental, pays homage to Durban's Art Deco buildings and takes inspiration from specialist architects Langton and Barboure in this field. Durban proudly showcases some of the most exquisite Art Deco buildings, particularly residential blocks constructed between 1930 and 1940. Notably, these buildings feature distinctive round or square pilasters that extend the entire height of the structures. As Lemon's Creative Director, Kevin Frankental was born and continues to reside in South Africa, he draws inspiration from this region and honours the architects of that era through this remarkable piece.
